Which do you prefer, Book son tape or Reading it Yourself? I only ask, because before my St. George trip my husband talked me into getting a book on CD for the trip. me and my sister went and picked two from the library. The Partner and the Summons by john Grisham. My sister said she liked his books. So we started listening to the Partner and I would get distracted really easy. Here and there we had to shut it off and then go back. I am now listening to it at home. We didn't finish one, because I loaned Twilight to my sister and we read that instead. I am finally getting into The Partner, but I think I would rather read a book than listen to it.
I am one of those readers that take a little longer, because I have to keep going back so I can understand better. Being the woman that I am my mind gets so sidetracked. I start thinking of 3-5 different things while I am reading and before I know it I have to go back a page or two and start again. For me it is easier to go back a page and figure out where I was than it is to rewind. I feel I get more out of reading too and I also fall asleep a lot easier not having to look at anything. there are several times I have fallen asleep while listening to this book and then I have to try and find where I last left off. I guess I should be doing something while I listen to the tape, but reading a book is separating myself from everything else. I enjoy sending myself into another world for just a minute.
Don't get me wrong the books on tape have their purpose for those always on the run, but I like looking at it better. I probably would get a lot more reading done if I had a book on tape while I was cleaning. May be I will try it a few more times. So which do you prefer?

I generally prefer having the book in front of me; I'm all about the tangibility of something. Although, books on tape/CD serve their purpose. I did one last summer while I worked out; that was kinda nice.
I am the same way.
You've been busy since I came to your blog...sorry I'm so slow. I came down Monday to take Mikey to the airport and then right back home-we will be down next on the 18th. Let's plan something! I like to read the book. The audio is nice but it's harder for me to stay focused and I can fall asleep!
I would love to plan something. You don't have to appologize I know you are busy. I am way excited to see youguys.
I am the same way with reading and the book on tape.
