So Dave and a friend of mine e-mailed me the following about Obama. I was just wondering if anyone knew just how true it is. This scares me. It will deffinately be interesting to see what happens this election. Are we doomed no matter what? It just goes to show you that Joseph Smith was right when he said there will come a time when our country will be hanging from a thread. Please read the following and let me know what you think.
When will our Nation quit turning their back on God and understandthat this man is 'A Muslim'....First, Last and always....and we are AT WAR withthe Muslim Nation, whether our bleeding-heart, secular, Liberal friends believeit or not. This man fits every description from the Bible of the 'Anti-Christ'! ???
Who is Barack Obama?
Probable U. S.presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu , Hawaii ,to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel , Kenya and Ann Dunham, awhite ATHEIST from Wich ita , Kansas .
Obama's parents met at the Universityof Hawaii .
When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya .His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia .
When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia .Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta He also spent two years in a Catholic school.
Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick topoint out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholicschool.'
Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that that he is nota radical.
Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence wastemporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenyasoon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's
educa tion.
Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced hisstepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta .
Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists whoare now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politicallyexpedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States ,Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt todownplay his Muslim background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn intooffice he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.
Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he showany reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts,Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches. Do you want someone like this asyour PRESIDENT?
Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.
The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, whatbetter way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States ,one of their own!

The background info on him is correct. Whether he's the 'anti-Christ', well that's for everyone else to decide.
Add to that his 20-year association with Reverend Wright who says things like 'God d*** America' and that we deserved 9/11 because we are 'racist' and have ourselves spread terrorism. Wright also claims that the white folks created the AIDS virus to get rid of the blacks.
Oh, and remember when Obama's wife stated several weeks ago that she is finally proud of her country? This from a woman who was educated at Princeton and Harvard and makes more than $300,000 as VP of a hospital. Try achieving that in another country Mrs. Barack Hussein Obama!
This is the same man who was voted the most liberal senator for the year 2007. More liberal than Ted Kennedy? Now that's far left.
He also has a poster hailing Cuban leaders in one of his Texas campaign headquarters.
Ok, I'll stop now. But one word comes to mind with this guy: SCARY!
you can check this article out as well as the others about him on snopes to get information regarding these emails that have been going around.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp
as for me, I don't know who I'm going to vote for in this years election. I don't think any of them are good choices but I still have a lot of research left to do.
I think that snopes article clears much of this up. I'll just add that there are extremist Christians just like there are extremist Muslims. And they've done some pretty terrible stuff too. Extremes of most anything gets ugly.
The Muslim religion is really has a lot of beauty and has done a lot of good things for a lot of people.
As for Obama, I don't know enough yet. Jury's still out for me. He certainly doesn't give me the cold, creepy shivers like McCain does though (for whatever that's worth).
I guess we all have a lot to think about huh? Mikey and I were talking about it all and I starting thinking about how inspired our founding fathers really were. I know that it does affect us who the president is but, with the whole checks and balances thing-things can't get totally out of control. I have just decided to do what I can (vote) and have faith that things will be okay. I like to look at the future like President Hinckley did-that it is bright. It really is really my only option or I get stressed. I have faith that my boys lives will be better than mine. I have to be prepared for it not to be; but I have faith that it will.
Kristen- I think am a little scared no matter what happens in this election. The olny thing that comforts me is that these are the signs of the times and hopefully it will all be over before too long. I find it interesting that people who have it pretty good, AKA Obama's wife aren't grateful for anything until they have what they want AKA her husband in office.
Bobatharoo-Thanks for the tips on snopes. I am not quite surw who I will vote for either. I just know that I will have to follow my instincts.
mammamia-I think that there is beauty and ugliness in every culture. I hear so many different things about Obama that my jury has not yet decided either.
tannerstory-I know what you mwan about our Founding Fathers. It is too bad that it has been far too long since we have had anyone in office with such passion for our country's well being in a while. I am terrified for my kids, but like you say we just have to do our best, be optomistic, and pray that things will work out for them.
Here's my thing about snopes: It's run by a couple out of California. Who makes them the experts? If you notice, their sources on squelching this email are from Obama's own books and the media. Um, I personally don't trust most of the media....esp since they totally give Obama a pass.
Not that Snopes is not accurate. I think they probably usually are. But I also think that just like everything else, you have to be careful what you read/believe. And I have no doubt that this email has several fallacies; but I also think it has many truths. There's a lot more about Obama than he's letting on.
Kristen- Really? I didn't really know where Snopes came from. I agree that we all need to be careful about what we read/believe.
Oh, and doesn't every politician have something they are hiding. Do we even have any that are honest anymore?
I also believe that you have to be skeptical of everything you read. In email, on snopes, in the media, peoples opinions. I don't believe Snopes has all the answers but I do believe they give you something else to think about. I have a hard time because you can't find an unbiased article out there on any of the presidential candidates, that I know of. I will do the best I can to research each of the candidates but I think for me, it will come down to sincere prayer to know who I'm going to vote for. I know the signs of the times. I know things will progressively get worse. I know that I am afraid for my kids but I also know what the scriptures and prophets say. Because of that, I will press forward in faith, do my best not to be fearful and I will hold my head high because I know that if I am prepared, Heavenly Father will protect me. That is my testimony. If you want to read a really good quote, look in the special President Hinckley insert that came with the Ensign this month. It is on page 5. "Look for the Sunlight."
Thanks bobatharoo- I agree with everything you said. I appreciate your testimony. I agree that when it all comes down to it all we can do is pray and do the best that we can do. I will look at that article. I appreciate that.
Hey! I know, totally scary! Which is greater of the two evils? Anyways, I don't know who to vote for, and I always feel uneasy judging by their religion...that is what got Romney into trouble, people judged by his religion, fact or not, and kicked him out, even though the majority of the people wanted the same things that he stood for!! But I am really bad about politics. I keep my life too busy to pay attention to the news, and when I do have a second, I do other things. Which is bad, and I need to change and do my part! Thanks for the reminder! You always post mind provoking thoughts
i know that Mitt Romney has his problems. but he was basically not voted for because of his religion. i don't think that JUST because of his religious back ground that we should judge him. really if he had run for office before 9\11 would it still matter as much that he was muslim. I think that God has a plan for the country and there are ALOT of wicked people here and around the world. and we know that the second comming will be a time that will be scary but if we are prepared we "shall not fear". so that's my opinon. i'm not to worried about it 1. because i can't even vote democratic, beacuse of the state i live in and 2. because i feel like i'm prepared for His comming and if Obama or Clinton of Macain hurries that time along then let's get it going already! we've been waiting for over 2000 years! : )
krystell- I am not all that great with politics either. You are too funny..mind provoking posts?....
Tammy-welcome back. did you have fun in Canada? I know what you mean about just puting it in the Lords hands, but it is still scary.
